10 Things I Can’t Stop Thinking About from May
A personal list of what caught my eye, lingered in my mind, or quietly shifted something inside.
Every month, I round up the things I’d text to my closest girlfriends—the book I couldn’t stop underlining, the moisturizer that actually works, the idea that quietly shifted something in me. Some are beautifully simple, others a bit more expansive, but all of them earned their place in my life this May. Hope a few of these stay with you too.
1. Manifestation Made Easy by Jen Mazer
Waking up before the rest of the world is one of my favorite things. Lately, I’ve been starting my mornings with this book—one short chapter, followed by the journaling prompt at the end. It sets me up with an abundance mindset and feels grounding to have done some personal work before the day begins. I especially love how it ties manifestation to self-worth—because to attract what you want, you have to believe you deserve it.
2. Rhode Glazing Milk
I’m a little late discovering this moisturizer, but it’s quickly become a favorite. It pours out like milk and melts into the skin with the silkiest texture. My skincare routine is one of my favorite daily rituals—multi-stepped and meditative—and I always finish with this (day and night!) for lasting hydration. It’s simple, but it feels quietly luxurious in the best way.
3. Emma Grede on the Goop Podcast
Emma and Gwyneth are both such powerhouses, and I loved listening in on their conversation - part business, part motherhood, and full of insight. One line that’s stayed with me: “Don’t try to prove your worth. Just know it,” a quote Emma shared from her mother. Emma’s the founder of SKIMS, and if you know me, you know a SKIMS bodysuit is basically part of my weekly uniform. You’d be shocked if I told you how many I own. (Here’s the one I reach for on repeat—especially in summer.)
4. Studio Ashby’s Latest Design Project: St. Germaine Apartment
This project by Studio Ashby completely stopped me mid-scroll. The innovation, the color, the sheer amount of detail—it’s true design genius. I especially loved the repeat presence of the hanging shelves with brass supports—such a thoughtful, sculptural touch. It reminded me how exciting great design can be—when it surprises you, challenges you, and pulls you in. I’ve revisited it more than once this month.
5. “10 Questions to Ask Yourself If You Worry You’re Not Reaching Your Potential”
This Instagram post made me stop mid-scroll—and actually reflect. I screenshotted it immediately. Questions like “Will repeating yesterday get you closer to your dreams?” and “Does your daily routine match your real priorities?” felt especially resonant as I fine-tune what alignment really looks like for me. Sometimes the right question can shift your entire perspective, and this post had several. I saved it to revisit weekly—not to pressure myself, but to keep gently nudging toward the life I really want.
6. The FORM App for At-Home Workouts
I’ve always loved cardio, but lately I’ve gotten into workouts that include weights too. With a full schedule and limited time, I need something quick and effective—and the FORM app has been just that. I’ve set up a small workout station in my walk-in closet, and I love that the classes are around 30 minutes but still leave me feeling strong and accomplished. (Here’s the yoga mat and weights I use.] It’s been an easy, motivating way to stay consistent without ever leaving the house.
7. Beyond Anxiety by Martha Beck
Anxiety has been a steady companion throughout my adult life, and it’s been deep, ongoing work to understand it, live with it, and learn how to soothe it. Over the years, I’ve worked with some incredible therapists and teachers, gathering techniques for my toolbox along the way. This book has been one of the most impactful. Martha Beck’s concept of quieting your “anxiety creature” was truly life-shifting for me—and it’s a technique I’ve come back to with real success, again and again.
8. One Wednesday Beauty Bag
I’m always on the hunt for the perfect travel makeup bag—and this one might actually be it. The soft crushed velvet and rich hue are so good, and it fits way more than you’d expect. It slips perfectly into my carry-on tote and holds all the makeup essentials I can’t live without. I also have a soft spot for this brand—it’s my friend Sophie’s, and I’ve loved watching her build something so thoughtful and beautiful.
9. Mouth Tape & Sleep as a Ritual
I’m fully in my self-care era—and nothing has made a bigger impact than prioritizing real, restful sleep. Lately, I’ve been using The Skinny Confidential’s mouth tape at night, and I swear I’ve been waking up more refreshed. (It helps encourage nose breathing, which supports deeper, more restorative sleep.) That, paired with actually giving myself enough hours to rest, has changed how I feel throughout the day. I heard recently that your bedtime is your most important appointment of the day —and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
10. Journal Prompt: Childhood Wants & Worthiness
Someone recently offered this journal prompt: What did you want most in your childhood that you didn’t get? Writing it out brought up clarity I wasn’t expecting—especially around how early desires can echo into adulthood. It made me pause and consider what still feels unresolved, and where I might be seeking something I never named. If you’re exploring your own inner architecture, this question might just unlock a new room. Here’s the journal I have and love.
